He was previously (1997-Aug. 2003) Adjunct Professor in the MBA program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. In the past he has held faculty positions at East Carolina University, and George Mason University, VA, He has also worked as adjunct faculty member for online universities such as University of Maryland University College and Walden University. Professor Hazari has over 30 years of teaching experience. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence Literacy and AI Strategy. He teaches, publishes, and presents on various AI topics, as well as Web Design, Digital Marketing and Social Media courses, which include strategies on how businesses can use Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to enhance their marketing efforts. Dr. Hazari has authored peer-reviewed journal publications in Digital Marketing and Information Technology areas. He has presented at national conferences, is the Senior Editor of the Journal of Information Systems Education, and is on the Editorial Board of several information systems journals. Dr. Hazari is an experienced online instructor, and has been a project manager for application software development, managed IT facilities, and conducted technology training workshops for education and industry professionals. Dr. Hazari's knowledge and expertise in AI, Digital Marketing, Social Media and Business Research make him an effective teacher as can be evidenced from Course Evaluations completed by students. Students consistently praise Dr. Hazari for clear communication of expectations and fairness in grading.
